Multi-neck calibration die

The multi-neck calibration die calibrates the fired cartridge case at the case neck. The multi-neck calibration die consists of the die body, the hardened standard neck calibration ring, spacer bushes, the spindle with the internal expander and the ejector pin with union nut. External calibration takes place when the cartridge case is pressed into the die.

The case neck is calibrated from the inside when it is moved out of the die. This achieves a tight bullet fit. For short cartridge cases, the neck calibration ring is installed in the lowest position. For longer cases, one or both spacer sleeves can be changed downwards, as desired. If the neck calibration ring is installed in the lowest position, the inner expander must also be screwed down. The sleeve holder does not have to be in contact with the die!

The cartridge case is inserted into the case holder and brought into the uppermost position with the press plunger. The case neck is calibrated to the desired length by screwing the die down and pressing the case. If the die is screwed in too far, the sleeve may be compressed. The correct position of the die is set in the press and fixed with the lock nut.

The multi-neck calibration die is the tool of choice for standard requirements for quick and easy calibration of the case neck of cartridge cases of the same calibre group, e.g. .30 or .223.

For higher demands on precision and flexibility, we recommend the Bench-Rest neck calibration die in the respective calibre.
